MILK ANALYSIS LABORATORY

Heart of America DHIA's Lab meets or exceeds the requirements of Quality Certification standards set by the Council on Dairy Cattle Breeding.

All milk samples are conducted using equipment from Bentley Instruments.  Samples can be analyzed for Butterfat and Protein using infrared analyzers.  Somatic Cells are counted using a special dye and laser technology.  Chemical analysis for Milk Urea Nitrogen (MUN) is available and is much more accurate than infrared tests.

LAB TECHNICIANS:

Jolene is the veteran lab tech.  She began working in 1994 several months before HOA was formed. 

Robert has been working in the lab since 2002. 

Brenda started in 2005.

Justin began as a lab tech in 2007.
